Welcome to the September edition of Champions Connect, your monthly roundup created to inspire and support you in your role as a Trickle Champion.

This season often brings fresh beginnings, with many Champion teams forming or transitioning. To those newly stepping into the role, a heartfelt welcome. We’re grateful for your commitment and excited to see the positive difference you’ll bring to your organisation.

🏆 Spotting inefficiencies after the Summer Holiday Season - Applying GROSS to Improve Your Workplace and spot inefficiencies.

GROSS (Getting Rid of Stupid Stuff) is about removing inefficiencies, frustrations, and low-value tasks that hold people back.

As Champions, you play a vital role in helping to spot these blockers and facilitating ways to generate practical improvements.

Here’s how you can put the GROSS framework into action using Trickle’s tools:

💫 1. Streamline Admin Processes

What to do:

Encourage your people to flag repetitive, outdated, or unnecessary admin tasks.

Review these together and identify which can be simplified or removed.

Trickle tools to use:

Trickles: Collect staff suggestions in real-time. Encourage the use of anonymity to allow for more confidence when posting.

Moodsense: Track how frustrating admin tasks feel across the team. Visit our MoodSense Library for further inspo.

💫 2. Cut Meeting Overload

What to do:

Review recurring meetings and ask if they’re necessary, too long, or could be replaced with a quick update.

Trial shorter, more focused meetings.

Trickle tools to use:

How Was Your Day?: Spot dips in morale linked to meeting fatigue.

Shout Abouts: Celebrate reduced meeting times and the time saved.

💫 3. Support Staff Wellbeing

What to do:

Ask staff what “stupid stuff” is adding stress, like clunky systems or repetitive tasks.

Remove or adjust these barriers to make daily work smoother (and happier!)

Trickle tools to use:

Moodsense + How Was Your Day?: Check overall sentiment on specific topics and pinpoint pain points.

Shout Abouts: Share improvements so staff can see their voices made a difference.

💫 4. Boost Morale & Recognition

What to do:

Make recognition part of everyday culture; small wins matter. Small wins that save time on "stupid stuff" really matter!

As Champions, it's important that when you notice or learn about time-saving improvements that you share them widely and regularly. Promoting a GROSS culture amongst your people.

Trickle tools to use:

Fist Bumps: Show appreciation between colleagues.

Shout Abouts: Highlight collective achievements and celebrate what matters.

During holiday periods, cover often takes priority, and Champions Teams can find their meetings becoming less frequent. If your full team hasn’t come together for a while, the Champions Chat in the Trickle app is a simple way to schedule a catch-up and bring everyone back into alignment.

If you'd like support with actioning ideas from this Champion Connect, please feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager or drop us a message using our In-App Help Centre button.
