Moderation AI
Moderation AI keeps conversations on-topic and constructive. Our AI Moderation feature ensures Trickle remains a safe, relevant, and productive space for employees to share ideas and feedback - without the risks traditionally associated with anonymity.
How It Works
Custom Rules for Your Organisation
Define exactly what topics are in or out of scope (e.g. salary, benefits, politics).
Real-Time Review
AI checks every post before it’s published - no delays, no manual screening.
Contextual Understanding
Goes beyond keyword blocking to understand meaning, even in slang or other languages.
Positive Tone Guidance
Flags disrespectful language and prompts the author to rephrase before posting.
Turn on and customise the Code of Conduct feature (Admins only)
Admins can enable the Anonymity Code of Conduct feature to encourage responsible anonymous posting.
When enabled, users posting anonymously will be asked to confirm that their content is respectful, appropriate, and aligned with the organisation’s values. This appears as a daily reminder when using anonymous posting.
The feature is fully customisable, allowing you to:
add a link to your organisation’s Code of Conduct
customise the wording to reflect your organisation’s culture and policies
✅ To enable this feature:
TrickleApp > Org Settings > Anonymity > Code of Conduct
Temporary Anonymity Suspension (Admins only)
If an anonymous post or comment breaches your organisation’s community guidelines, admins can temporarily suspend that user’s ability to post anonymously.
Importantly:
the user can still access and use Trickle normally
they can continue posting and commenting
only their access to anonymous posting is temporarily restricted
The first suspension lasts for 1 week. Repeated breaches may result in longer suspension periods.
Users will receive an in-app notification explaining the restriction.
Automatic Limits on Anonymous Activity
To maintain healthy and balanced conversations, Trickle can turn on automatic limits on anonymous activity. These limits help prevent spam and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to participate.
Anonymous Trickle Post Limits
Users receive 1 anonymous post per week
Unused posts roll over and can accumulate up to a maximum of 5
New users start with up to 5 anonymous posts available
For example, if a user does not post anonymously for 4 weeks, they may have up to 5 anonymous posts available in week 5.
Once all available anonymous posts are used, the allowance refreshes weekly.
Anonymous Comment Limits
Users receive 10 anonymous comments per day
Unused comments roll over up to a maximum balance of 25
New users start with up to 25 anonymous comments available
Comment allowances replenish gradually throughout the day.
Once all available anonymous comments have been used, users must wait for their balance to refresh before posting anonymously again.
✅ If you would like to customise anonymous posting or commenting limits for your organisation, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Customising or Switching Off Anonymity
Trickle’s anonymity settings can be customised based on where users are posting — including:
departments
locations
organisation-wide spaces
Organisations can also choose to disable anonymous posting entirely across the platform.
When anonymity is disabled:
users can still post and engage normally
anonymous posting and commenting will no longer be available
✅ To explore these options, please speak with your Customer Success Manager.
