What is MoodSense?

Whether itโ€™s taking a quick temperature check on how people are feeling or measuring how your organisation is performing in a specific area, MoodSense provides you with real time sentiment analysis. You can jump on issues and opportunities fast and measure how people respond over time.

What can I use MoodSense for?

You can use MoodSense in a number of different ways depending on your organisationโ€™s needs:

๐ŸŒก As a one-off temperature check on a topical theme. This can then be followed up with a Trickle for a deeper dive if needed.

๐Ÿ“ข To assess whether an individual issue raised on a Trickle is a wider cross-organisational issue.

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ To gauge sentiment about a particular topic in a specific department or location.

๐Ÿ“Š To undertake a pre-post data analysis to evaluate the impact of an intervention or change.

๐Ÿ“ˆ To run recurring temperature checks to gauge sentiment on a particular topic over time.

How do I use MoodSense effectively?

We suggest the following approach:

  • The Why?- Discuss with your fellow Champions what information you would like to get from the MoodSense (see section above) and then decide on what statement or question you want to create for this (visit our MoodSense library for ideas and suggestions).

  • Notify Users - Post a ๐Ÿ“ข Shout About to let people know that a MoodSense is on its way and why itโ€™s important to vote.

  • Create your MoodSense - You can read all about how to create a MoodSense here.

  • Review results - Check-in on your MoodSense results in the Champions Hub at your Champions meetings:

    • Positive outcome? You can post a ๐Ÿ“ข Shout About to celebrate and share this positivity!

    • Negative outcome? You can post a ๐Ÿ’ง follow-up Trickle to dig deeper on this. Once your Champions Team have completed and closed the Trickle, you can then post the same (or similar) MoodSense to gauge whether the changes put in place have had a positive impact on your people.

Gathering data in real-time from your teams helps you spot issues before they become problems, lets you know what's going well and gives your people a voice.

Take a look at our MoodSense library for inspiration and why not create a MoodSense today ๐Ÿ™‚!
