What is a Trickle Champion?

A Champion is a Trickle advocate who has access to extra features designed to encourage collaboration, gather feedback, and drive improvements within your organisation.

Champions are often Team Leads/Managers who are people-centric, values-driven and solution-focused in their approach to the employee experience. A diverse Champions Team allows you to progress issues and challenges that are surfaced on the platform in a timely way, building user trust and engagement.

Why is the Champions role important?

A key part of being a Champion is demonstrating that people are being heard and that action is being taken, where possible, to drive everyday improvements within your organisation.

We know that people want to contribute to positive change in the workplace and have ideas and questions they’d like to share and have heard. Trickle empowers people to have open conversations and it’s the role of the Champion to help capture the magic of these conversations and enable next steps.

Helpful Habits for Champions

Let people know what you’re doing behind the scenes

Trickles are designed to surface ideas, concerns and challenges and we encourage collaboration in solving them. Taking ownership of and regularly commenting on Trickles you are working on to give updates is very powerful - every little step counts!

Don’t shy away from difficult conversations - you’ve got this!

We’re Social Beings - meet with other Trickle Champions

💡Top Tip: why not tag your champion's meet-ups on to the start or end of an existing meeting? Getting people together this way is easier than finding additional space in calendars!

Here are some of our suggestions on how a Champions Meet-up might run:

Assign Trickles so that each is being acknowledged and taken forward. Check if anyone needs a hand progressing a Trickle or open up to the group for some assistance.  A colleague with expertise in the area might be able to help.
Discuss what statements or questions might be posted as a MoodSense that align with organisation goals and will give you quick feedback on hot topics or areas you maybe haven’t checked in on for a while. Check out our MoodSense Library.
Is there something you think people would find interesting? Do you have a new resource to share? Do you want to  celebrate a team success? Create a Shout About.
Look at real time data in our Insights Page and monthly  Executive Summary. These resources will show you exactly what matters most to people in your organisation right now.

Getting the most out of Trickle
